Massive amounts of people are getting sick all over the place! Here in Spain, it’s no different and with my husband being around a bunch of sweaty basketball players every day, he tends to bring home some bugs every now and then. I’m SO thankful for all the tools I have to battle these colds & viruses and keep our bodies strong against pretty much anything & everything. If we ever become host to a cold, it’s almost always gone within the first 24 hours with minimal symptoms.
Today I started getting a bit of a sore throat, and immediately I started my homeopathic remedies, special tricks, and superfoods. This was today’s smoothie, I thought I would share it with you. This is no sissy smoothie either! Low in sugar and exploding with immune boosting nutrients! I’m not a big fan of bananas usually because they are pretty high in sugar and in my opinion are more like a dessert, so you won’t see them much in my recipes. For the fruit in this smoothie I chose kiwis and a green apple, both super low in sugar from the fruit family. Did you know that 1 kiwi has more Vitamin C than an orange? Just 1 small kiwi is loaded with more than 120% of the recommended daily dose! It also is packed with DNA protecting phytonutrients! Love it! Here is the recipe…
- 2 Organic Kiwis
- 1 Organic Green Apple
- 3 leaves Kale
- 5 cubes frozen organic spinach
- 1/2 c. fresh parsley
- 1 lemon peel removed
- 1 tbs. spirulina
- 1 tbs. chlorella
- 1 tbs. Maca
- 1 tsp. Reishi Powder
- 6 Drops Grapefruit Seed Extract
- 1 Quinary
- 1 Nuplus
- 2 c. Calli tea (cold)
- 1/2 c. cultured kefir juice
- 1 pinch Himalayan salt (for minerals)
- Lyposhpheric C
